en passant étiquette when opponent doesn't know about the rule

I'm onto you, FMNR,
What you're trying to do is distract me from actually playing...
Because, if I start to play again (with my talent and obvious extraordinary intelligence), my rating will rise so fast, you will soon, by chance, encounter me on Live Chess and have to suffer a humiliatng defeat!
While lacking the hubris of a certain young lady on this site who improved her rating by 700 points in 1.5 weeks, i can state unequivically that I know you are scared!!! Give it up, FM, resign now!!!
Resistance is Futile!!!
The Trophy Will Be Mine!!!!

If a player didn't know about the castle move and you played it would you be willing to take it back or give any of the other options you mentioned? sometimes a new player needs to lear the rules the hard way. I say let the move stand.

To anyone entering this thread right now, please check out post #145, and the next few posts, after that.
We are way, way, way beyond discussing the initial 6 choices of the OP.
If you cannot come up with something better than post #145, please, don't bother.
For the next seven days.
Or at any point, for that matter.
Thanks.

Thanks john 4000,
It looks like black was not having a good day, in a lot of ways, even before that #.
I mean, even apart from bringing his king out into the open on move 10,
and maybe hanging his knight on move 11, he had an aternative, I think (albeit not that appealing) to pushing that pawn. Or maybe I'm not seeing something.
I wonder if he knew about the en passant?
Or was he betting that his opponent didn't know about it?
Although, at best, 14...Kh7 would only have prolonged the inevitable for one move.
BTW, I think that if black had played more accurately, white's bishop sac on move 9 may not have paid off that well.
Nope! I get the trophy!
