Yes. You can practice positions vs a computer or a friend. You can make up these positions, get them from your own games, or from master games. If a GM resigns or draws and you're not sure why, use that position.
You can also get useful positions out of endgame books. Take a positing given in the book and play over the author's instruction. Now set up the original position again and shift it over 1, 2, or 3 files. Take away a pawn, add a pawn. Just so long as it's a bit subtle. Now is the position still a win or draw? How do you know? Make sure. This is a useful technique even the engame books suggest you do with their positions.
Also analysis is great for practice. Take a position and write out a mainline and some variations. Try to prove the win or draw. Then check what you've done vs a computer or stronger player to see what you may have missed.
