Hi all,
I'd really like to drill my endgames on my PC, but these types of problems usually have a number of accurate branches, and I don't know of any software that will randomize which branch the computer chooses.
I have not been able to find software that does this or how to tweak Fritz to be able to do it. My only alternatives seem to be to either (1) give up on this method of studying or (2) inputting each line as a separate problem, something that would be a pain in the butt and probably lead to (1).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not sure I can help you, as I stopped using Fritz long ago. Nevertheless, I'm not sure I understand what you're wanting to do. Do you want to actually play endgames against the engine, or are you analyzing endgame variations? If it's the former, engines usually try to select the line with the highest evaluation.
