Eric Rosen's trap videos

I really love them, not because I play them, but because I know what people will try. I attribute 2 wins this week to this line...

I saw the video, tried it a few times never coming close to the outcome envisioned. I, on the other hand let my opponent's get close.

Someone tried that trap on me a second time today! Same results, except he actually continued playing. He ended up resigning a few moves later.

Lots of people may be watching this guy.  Everyone loves opening traps and I am bad enough I get to see them.

I just pulled it off today. Gotta say, I feel dirty. My opponent resigned on move five. I don’t think I will do it again.

Opening traps are like that. I feel kind of bad about playing this one.

Someone did this kind of trap to me years ago when I was playing the French. Now I do it to multiple people playing queens gambit .

I generally don’t play traps like this. It gets you rating points and some wins, but it doesn’t make you any better at chess. They definitely are fun to pull off against your friends and have a good laugh about it though. 😊

True, when I am actually serious about getting better I will quit playing opening traps. But most of the time I am just throwing pieces around bot thinking through moves.

I fell for the Englund gambit today. I felt dumb. Never again.
