Sorry, I have never met anyone who takes the FIDE Arena titles seriously.
You can see from that graphic you posted that they have only 153 players online.
Chess.com currently has 310,000 players playing.

Did you ever play a game over there? They have bots which they sell as real people. STAY AWAY! Chess.com is much, much better.

in Chess Results, they out the titles no offense, but just because US tournaments don't recognize it, doesn't mean that no one cares

You are probably correct that people in the chess community don't take those arena titles seriously, especially with a small number of players signing up. Maybe it grows.
However, some don't live near any venues offering FIDE OTB tournaments and for them, it might be a nice-to-have. Chess is not for money, its a hobby (for most, I would assume). The arena title might give you some bragging rights, but probably only in front of those who know very little about chess. Either way, if it gives someone some sense of accomplishment or something to aim for, then why not. Go for it.
So what if FIDE makes an extra buck. Maybe there was a need. Still wondering why they set the whole thing up?

FIDE Online Arena (FOA) is easily the best chess platform: https://chessarena.com/
FOA is the official Chess platform acknowledged by FIDE, where you can obtain a legitimate chess Master title through online gaming.
If you're 1100 Elo, you can earn the FIDE Arena Candidate Master (ACM). This ACM title carries the same prestige and legitimacy as the esteemed title of Grandmaster.
Your ACM title would appear at over-the-board (OTB) tournaments on your name placard. It's a real title, and it is respected by FIDE.
Furthermore, an Elo rating of 2000 can open doors for you to achieve the Arena Grandmaster (AGM) title. Bragging rights are guaranteed, as you can truthfully tell your friends you're a FIDE GM, standing tall among chess giants like GM Magnus Carlsen.
