first correspondence game complete

I have completed my first correspondence chess game and would really appreciate some feed back.

First off, I want to mention a few things before I post my analysis on the game itself.

The reason behind why I consider this my first correspondence game is because each and every move

I spent a few hours thinking about, trying out a more scientific approach to chess. Though, I have

reached completion on previous correspondence games, I thought about each move for a maximum of 2 minutes, so I don't' qualify them.

For all of you folks that want to improve your rating, correspondence chess is probably the way to go.  However, the key ingredient is to study

each move for a couple hours before you play the move.

Just from this game alone, my rating has increased over 100 points in standard and about 200 in blitz. I have also beaten people way out my elo which

never happened before. I never once lucked out with a 1900 in a standard game until I played this correspondence match

With that being said, after these last few correspondence matches are completed, I have no intention of ever approaching chess like this again.

If I do, it probably won't be any time soon. I discovered that I don't actually like chess that much and realized that kind of methodical approach,

removes the fun from the game. Sure I gained all of the points, but I honestly don't care about the rating that much anymore. I got what I wanted but

don't have the desire for what I wanted.. if that makes sense.

What I really seem to like about chess, specially live games, standard or blitzes are the blunders. I love when challengers play insanely inaccurate, and bad

move that drop pieces or enable me to play a mildly clever tactic. Correspondence games are more carefully calculated.

I don't play e4 at all, but in this game I wanted to learn more about e4. I didn't use any kind of book, guide or engine.

Interested in your feed back and thanks in advance :)
