In this tournament, I was the highest rated in the u1700 section, and because of an odd number of players in that section, I was boosted up to the open section. My opponent is one of my friends here on chess.com and is a solid 1900+ player who I lost to once before.

Good game William - Glenn is a fine player - no easy task to defeat him.

your horse dominated his bishop.    very well done !

you penetrated his position, and there was little he could do, except gobble Q-side pawns with his Q,

looking back, I wonder about 17......d5 -- if that was a losing type move, forever limiting the scope of his B.   Perhaps 17 .......e5  or preparing .......e5 was the way to give Black chances in this game.

Yes- I did tell some people. But something tells me you're name is not actually "Amy Hinter."

correct - not a true 1900 player - he is 2000 now...

Glenn is actually somewhat underrated in terms of his playing ability. He has drawn several 2300's in the past and is far more resourceful than most other chess players of his rating. When you are winning, he makes it as complicated as possible.

most 1900 players don't like it when you win

Nice win, that Qxa2 looks too greedy, though Black was already worse I think
