For a couple of days, Forward Chess is offering a 20% discount on their Essentials collection of books (22 in all). For a sub-1000 player, which are the best ones, in your opinion?
More specifically, for endgames, which should be studied first: 100 Endgames You Must Know, or Van Perlo's Endgame Tactics?
Any advice gratefully received.
