free lessons?

I tried giving free coaching and here's what I found: The student is insufficiently invested in the process.

 

Get a job, deliver newspapers, gardening for seniors, dog walking.... whatever. Save your hard earned money up and pay for lessons, then we'll all know whether or not this sudden infatuation with chess is just a whim.

I know the St. Louis library system has hundreds of chess books ... I've seen them. Here is a search of their catalog. Find the closest library and check a few out.
