Freestyle chess is becoming more and more popular day by day. Of course, Bobby Fischer is credited as the inventor of Fischer Random or Chess960. The great thing is that the back-rank is randomized and we better take a few seconds before we play to see where the pieces are!
The Super-Kings chess variant is where the King has all the powers of a queen and knight, and can move and capture exactly like a queen and knight. Outside of that, the same rules of chess still apply. Jose Raul Capablanca was a genius at these types of variants. This fun variant has been played in different forms for quite some time now! It is being played a lot in chess clubs today!
Which variant is more difficult in classical time control format? It would seem both require a lot of accuracy!
