frick i hate myself
Being angry about losing or specific move. I had to research what it meant as well. I'm unsure of its origin but suspect it might come from pinball where tilt was when a player would get upset and shake the machine (?).
A man named josh once told me if you focus on your rating you forget to play chess sometimes you cant worry if youll lose or not just play the best move who knows and maybe you were only meant to not go past 1985
It is true, Reed (@centipedeSovereign), chess actually does a psych number on folks. I remember thinking, "Hey, I thought this was supposed to be a game, not psychological counseling." ![]()
'Stop ... you're both right ... it can be a floor wax AND a dessert topping.' (Saturday Night Live circa 1980's)
ADDED: The 'counseling' is all an internal number ... your opponent isn't really needed for this part, LOL.
You need to not think of yourself as a bad chess player or someone who cannot stop losing games. You have an exceptional rating and you keep on putting yourself down. It makes me sad that you think your bad.
I don't think I'm bad, I'm just think I'm play horribly. also tilting makes me think I'm not deserving of 2k and Im just some lucky ahh 1800
@ChanMan4 we all feel this way. Even at 600, we all feel the same. Well, maybe Hikaru doesn't, LOL.
he probably did when he resigned in a completely winning situation vs Magnus who is his biggest rival
