should I pay 70 euros to get only FAT fritz? I can download LC0 directly from the site, but on PC it is as slow as a snail, what's the sense? It makes sense if chessbase makes us use the cloud for free but it won't be. what a difference with fritz 16? "voice recognition" how does it work? can you dictate the moves without a mouse? this could be a good news

I read the "voice recognition" review , It's only about adding notes, not dictating moves. I don't see anything so new compared to fritz 16. You?
I was buying unfortunately "Fritz For Fun 15" for 1 year ago. Don`t like it.
Thats why I need a new Fritz. Otherwise I would never buy it or at least wait.
It is no longer innovative because there is no serious
competitor in sight.

is on offer today on the chessbase website at 59 euro. the only novelties are "fat fritz" and improved 3D chessboards, but you must have a strong nvidia graphics card that I don't have. For the time being, I keep the old Fritz that is enough for my level

Why would I want Fritz as a beginner? Is it any better for me than Stockfish?

no, it's not better. graphics and functionality for Fritz!!. if you don't need these features, arena chess is more than enough. Fritz gives you a better look, I can't see anything else ... even with Arena you can do analysis. and for the "easy" functionality you can use engines like cdrill 1800 which are better than a weakened Fritz

It depends! Money is not so much, but obviously if your goal is just playing chess then it's too much! Because to analyze games, stockfish is the best.
Just look at the ranking of the engines ... Search on Google "ccrl 40/40"
