chessbase has a neat feature where you put a pgn file in the clip base, then from the main frame interface window you choose "new database" then on the drop down menu you choose ctg and you import from the clipbase to the database. only problem there is that when you click on "include variations" it does not include them in the file. which is horrific. so we need some sort of program to seperate the lines in a pgn to turn it into a multiple game database in pgn, from one pgn so that all the lines are imported into the ctg as a book.
does anyone know how to convert a pgn file with variations to a ctg file? i am trying to create an opening book tree to play against my computer.
it would be awesome to have the information.
i remember using pgn mentor but the software costs $25. pgn-extractor works but it is a cmd application where you need to have good computer skills to use it.
anyhow. any solutions would be appreciated.
thanks.
