One time I wasn't getting any sound on Chess.com with my Google Chrome browser, so I went into the settings and in the advanced section pressed the button for reset browser settings. It erased my extensions, settings, cookies, history, home page, default search engine, but not bookmarks nor passwords, but I got my sound back. If you are using the Chrome browser and all else fails, you could try doing this, if you don't mind losing those things I mentioned above... If you have a fu browser, gl.
