I looked this up and nobody has ever posted about this happening to them but I still laugh about it sometimes ten years later. One time in twelfth grade I entered a K-12 tournament. I touched my queen and saw a move I thought was better so went to move a rook instead. The kid I'm playing against calls touch move. I look for the best square I could possibly put my queen and checkmated him with it. The people around me were trying not to laugh, I was trying not to laugh, and I imagine he was trying not to get angry or anything. When I got back to my team we joked about it. It still comes up today once in a while.
