I love chess and hope it continues staying popular. I'm just wondering how it's doing now that kids have Minecraft and the xbox. I figure the best way to guage chess's popularity is tournament attendence.
Can anyone give me a list/chart of some chess tournaments and their attendence over time? Is chess getting more or less popular?
From your personal club experience, have your clubs grown, stayed the same, or shrunk in the last decade or two? Do you see younger players joining?
