Game Archive Not Updating Right Away

Game archive doesnt reflect your recently played games right away. It takes several minutes before it's updated. This never used to happen before. It's a nasty delay and prevents you from going over your games immediately after youve won or lost. This is happening both on desktop and on android mobile app...extremely annoying.

That's actually normal. The archive is updated asynchronously, so you can see some delay between a game finishing and showing on your archive and/or recent games on your profile. It's a load mitigation strategy; there's almost 11 million games a day and trying to write everything to the archives immediately would cause problems.

Thanks for your response. This used to never be the "norm" though. Been playing here for several years and it isn't until recently that there's been a delay for recently finished games to finally appear in your archive. They used to appear immediately.  Looks like someone else in the forums has reported this issue a few days ago under the subject "Archive bug".  Maybe it's because the community has exponentially grown over the years so there's a ton more games being played now so when chess dot com   tries to write recently played games to the archive storage, it just takes a longer time now (likely due to not enough compute power/resources available). It for sure isn't a device issue as I've replicated this on multiple devices (e.g. desktops, laptops, android, apple ios) on different browsers and making sure to clear my cache and exit out of the browser and start a new session and same thing.  I'll be playing on my mobile and I'll want to go back and check my recently played game to see where I went wrong and I can't. Will have to wait a couple minutes sometimes. Normally it takes about 30 seconds to 1 minute. But again, it never took this long before. There is definitely a measurable difference  from before  but I suppose that's just a byproduct of so many more games being played now and the "write" just isnt as immediate now. Guess we'll just deal with it.
