Game review feature - is the coach always right?

Sometimes when I review a game, I run the "show line" for the best move suggested, and it comes up with a position that I like less than that resulting from my actual move, which might have been "good but not the best move" or even "inaccuracy".

So is the coach ALWAYS right? Obviously the engine is looking deeper than my sad brain does, but occasionally I really don't like the suggested "best move" or the position that results.....

No, the coach is not always right.

For its engine depth, the analysis should be quite accurate. However, it makes sense why in certain scenarios, you do not like the engine moves. Engines do not think like humans so sometimes it tends to overcomplicate positions which while technically might be better, is difficult to play.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks so, I just reviewed a game that ended in a king and 12 pawn endgame, and some of the computer's suggestions were strange to say the least

I don't worry about "inaccuracies". I only pay attention if the engine spots a blunder.

The rest of the time, it's more reasonable to play the lines that you feel most comfortable playing.

When there are a lot of pawns,  the possibilities are enormous.
