That's right, if you haven't filed for a patent, you lose out I'm afraid. Then again, he never was a fan of the US bureaucracy.
Unless you actually call it a Fischer clock, in which case their may be some right there (probably not a right to earnings, more a right to an injunction). I'm not sure it is (or was) generally marketed as a "Fischer" clock though.

it had something to do with a famous general in chechnya. i dont know it was on tv, the guy flew to europe to file lawsuit. Also he had some material against judges i think. Forget his name was really famous story.

Fischer did claim that many of the quick draws were prearranged between Soviet players, but this claim is in fact quite reasonable to anyone who knows anything about chess and even I think Bronstein or someone similar also made that claim about the candidates tournament where the Russian players drew and progressed. Suggesting the Kasparov-Karpov games were prearranged was a stretch, but still within the realm of possibilities - they discuss openings of what they're going to play, if one departs from it they have broken their agreement. He did not suggest the final result of Kasparov winning was fixed.

Fischer constantly accused Kasparov and Karpov of prearranging matches(and other Soviet players, but Karpov and Kasparov were the two primary targets.) Fischer has said many maniacal things.
