I have 50
How many daily games should you have?

One of my current opponents just had 750+ games . . .
He losses many games on TIME and resigns games daily . . .

I used to play 100 or so at a time but I wouldn't progress as I was having to make many moves daily. Now that I cut it in half and more I can actually spend time looking at positions and make less mistakes therefore improving faster than before.

Here's the question for everyone. Okay, blitz games you're not concentrating your full attention on. But if you have 40 daily games going, are you seriously giving each the same attention as you would an OTB opponent. To me, daily games are almost like you're some grandmaster playing 20 games simultaneously, i.e. glancing at the board and looking for the best move based upon the position. At least, that's the way I see it when I wake up at 7 AM and have ten minutes left on the snooze, and 20 moves to make in 10 minutes before it's time to get up and go to work. :-)

I used 2 do 150 in my sleep
Hi, gf3. I looked at your profile and you seem to be a blitz player. So here's the question for you. If you play so many daily games at a time, are you looking at them as a blitz player? i.e. are you just clicking on each game, deciding on the best possible move within a few seconds (like a blitz game) and moving on?

@samuelplayer
Hi Strangemover. I just had a look at your profile and I see you're currenly playing 99 daily games! I'm curious if you're looking at them like blitz/fast chess, a few seconds per game, or if I'm mistaken, how long do you spend with each of the 99 games? Unless you're retired or something, I can't imagine it to be that long?

Not as many as samuelplayer! I usually have around this number on the go, with a mixture of time controls. What I usually do is play moves in the morning with a cup of coffee, a few during the day at work when I'm skiving, and some at home in the evening. I try to not let any game drop to under 24 hrs left for me, but sometimes it's not possible and I have vacation. Often I scroll through my games making moves which are 'obvious' first, then look in more detail at others. If I can't see a move I like or am not sure I will leave it and look again the next day. In the morning or at work I make moves often with very little analysis or thought and this is where most of my blunders happen. In the evening when I'm chilling I take a bit longer and play a bit better.

Sounds pretty awesome! Thanks for the reply. :-)
I try to keep it at about 30 at a time
