Is playing against the computer easier than playing against a human?

Playing against a computer regardless of what level does nothing for me.  I will take a human opponent anytime.

thats pyschological and I prefer playing humans too.

Pressure to perform is part of the game.  

One of the problems is what I call the tyranny of your rating, I find that if I play casual or unrated games, it is more relaxing and in many cases more friendly.

You say you feel more pressure from human, for me it comes from the other direction... when it's a computer I don't really care about the game and so I relax and make ridiculous oversights.

Especially a computer that's rated lower than its max... they play really stupid moves and I just lose interest.

Oh, you're saying it's easier for you to play the computer because there's less pressure, I misunderstood.

I play better against humans because there's more pressure.

I dislike playing computers. Weakened engines are programmed to blunder at some point, and the blunders are usually really stupid moves that a human of that computers "rating" would never make. On the app level 9 is supposed to be rated 2000 yet it has blundered easily drawn endgames against me before. I'm talking just straight up throwing the game. I also dislike playing full strength engines because I don't like repeatedly getting my teeth kicked in....

If I'm anxious I'll play worse, probably anyone would. Mostly though I get excited about having an interesting game where both of us do everything we can to completely crush each other
