Playing a one 1 minute game.

Unless chess.com adopts a "contractual best-of-3" challenge feature or something similar, there's no mandatory policy to warrant a guaranteed rematch.

If this is your "philisophy", then why leave after a single piece gets trapped in your very first match against an opponent?

A lot of times I don't play someone repeatedly in one-minute games if I don't particularly like their playing style.  Some people sac several material pieces in an attempt to win solely on the amount of time the confusion creates in the aftermath, and others play incredibly closed off games (which are just frustrating and boring in blitz chess).  There isn't anything wrong with those styles, but neither is my decision to find a new opponent.

I think most times there is no "I'm better than this person" thought.  It's just people trying to get a variety of playing styles.  Don't let it phase you, just click that button and get another opponent.

When we played our first ever game, you let the clock run out for the last 30 seconds and then left with no rematch offer.

You, sir, are a hypocrite!

Do you just get up and walk away from the board in a tournament if your opponent's style is awkward?

No, but I do get up and walk away after the game is over, as is customary.

Nah, he's taking society forward, that's all.

I'll never understand why people think they're entitled to playing multiple games against each opponent.

Here's a thought for you to consider: maybe some people don't accept rematches because they enjoy playing a new opponent every game. I never accept a rematch, whether I won or lost, because I enjoy playing a variety of opponents. You claim that players like me don't accept a rematch because we think we are better than you and don't think you're worth the time, but that's just total bs.

You're not entitled to a rematch, so stop complaining about it.

I'm new at fast games, and I suck at them quite a bit. When I play one-minute games, I just trust the computer to find me the best available match. When the game's over, my rank either goes up or down (usually down), so I just assume (perhaps wrongly?) that the computer will readjust my level. I don't consciously avoid rematches; it simply doesn't cross my mind.

General-Mayhem - Really? You sit down at a board and play a one minute game. A minute or two later you stand up and move to another board. Really? You don't play two? You don't even play one game as white and one game as black? You actually stand up and walk away after a single one minute game?

No, because I've never heard of, let alone played in, any 1I0 OTB tournaments.

If you play a lot of chess....you should eventually run into these players again and get your rematch.  I know I do.
