What is up with CAPS?

I think CAPS has a bias when playing players of different strengths.  Essentially it's easier to find the right moves against weaker players and harder against stronger players.  I recommend creating

ADJCAPS = CAPS * (CAPS/OPPONENTS CAPS SCORE).   In my opinion this would correct for the bias among individual games and collapse to the original CAPS analysis among top level players.  Nicely, I think this would give you an indication of how well you played regardless of your opponents skill.

True, I think CAPS works well for comparing masters because masters all have a high (and consistent) level of play.  I'm just trying to extend the system to help people with a more variable skill level.   I imagine most people look at CAPS to help them analyze and improve their own game.  Your point about the need for an average score is an excellent idea.  I think you could have CAPS, ADJCAPS, CAPSAVE, and ADJCAPAVE scores.

This thread is very Captivating however, is it now possible to analyze many past games os it is still one game  at a time?
