Why doesnt chess.com have a club for players that dont know how to use chess terminology correctly?

Did someone put you in charge of deciding the correct usage of chess terminology?

If there was a vote, no one told me about it, ...  But as i posted before.  I do think the misuse of terms like "Aggressive" "Tactical", "Positional" can and does harm someones growth in chess.

Do you have some reason to consider yourself to be authoritative on what is "misuse" of "tactical" and "positional"?

I answered that already.

Can we safely assume that you do not want to provide a number of a post where you provided a reason to consider you to be authoritative on what is "misuse" of "tactical" and "positional"?

I could, or you could reread my answer.

Well... I'm playing chess for 50+ years, and it would be a lie to claim that I have a style.

And there ya go!

In this thread, did anyone claim that IIM pfren has a style?

pfren gave the perfect answer.

To a question that nobody asked?

Oh it was asked, and has been asked multiple times.

Have a specific post number where someone asked if IM pfren has a style?

He was answering the OP's question.

Is this a question about whether or not IM pfren has a style?

"Will Playing Tactically When my Style is Positional Improve my Chess Skill?"

Again...pfren was answering the OP's question.  Even Stevie Wonder, and Ray Charles can see that.  And that will end my answer to this question.

I guess we can safely assume that you do not want to assert that KingSideInvasion asked about whether or not IM pfren has a style. I suppose we can all understand that without further comment from you.

You could do what? Provide a post number where you presented a reason to consider you to be authoritative on what is "misuse" of "tactical" and "positional"? And you choose not to? Okay.

I love, enjoy tactical e4 openings. But when I need a Win, I play d4 grinding my opponent.

I would think it would be the opposite.   When you need a win, play a more aggressive opening and when a draw will do, play positionally.   JMHO.

Is there a specific KingSideInvasion unrealistic sentence that you would want to call to our attention?

Care to try to identify a specific KingSideInvasion sentence that would justify such an accusation?

Yes I will:

"Will Playing Tactically When my Style is Positional Improve my Chess Skill?" ...

Do you want to justify your accusation with a verifiable KingSideInvasion sentence?

"Will Playing Tactically When my Style is Positional Improve my Chess Skill?" ...

So, you want to use the thread title, rather than cite a sentence that was actually in the KingSideInvasion post? Is there a reason to take the thread title as anything other than an attempt to quickly summarize what was explained more fully in the KingSideInvasion post? Can we safely assume that your objection is to the idea that his style is positional? Is there any reason to doubt that he was simply trying to give a quick indication of the sort of opening where he feels "comfortable"?

Because if you want to get better at chess, you need to fix your weaknesses, because that's what's holding you back. Worrying about your "style" is a complete waste of time. If you are missing tactics, or giving yourself a bad bishop all the time, or losing even end games, who care's what your "style" is. Step 1 is to get better at making good moves, your style will find you

Great comment.  I couldn't have said it better.

<SIGH>

I was on a flight to London...a mom and her daughter sat in front of me.  That little girl watched that movie over, and over, and over, and...well you get the idea.  Lets just say i was glad when the flight landed.  I was actually hoping for a mid air collision...

Are we going to see an apology to KingSideInvasion?

By talking about "wanting to sound like a better chess player than" one actually is?

If an apology was warranted, which it isnt.  That would be between myself and the OP.
