Hey Mike good topic. In some way i agree with Estragon. I myself don't have slumps, or at least periods of lack lusture/poor play, that i/others upon examination would view as a slump.
Over time and from my personal experience such periods which might viewed as slumps are really for me poor application of my skill sets and knowledge at the board. Usually what works for me is to work harder in my next game. After a tournament where i played poorly i look at those games to really try and figure out what went wrong.
A good friend of mine says that it's very important to be in the moment when doing something.

So I am currently playing in a OTB weekend tournament which I have 1.5 out of 3. Though not a terrible result, my play is weak and overall very sloppy. I have felt kind of out of chess shape for the last month. I was wondering what some of you guys do to try and get your confidence back.
