I bet you could play a decent game of chess with players higher than this rating. Try not read into it. The circumstances of your recent games decides your rating not just your ability

Are you referring to bullet, blitz, or classical? I think a lot of us hit a ceiling around 1800 because to get beyond that it requires studying a good amount of endgames and opening theory.
I've been just below 1800 for some time now in Rapid. I feel like I've hit a plateau. How have others gotten past intermediate to advanced?
