literally lost 15 games in a row due to internet disconnections

give me back my 105 Elo that my internet lost me or I’m moving to Lichess

Avatar of Flynn347

I literally have no time to move because my ping takes away an extra 10 seconds even if I premove.

This site is actual crap for not compensating my lag

Avatar of Flynn347

Literally every single time I ask for chess.com to fix my lag, they just say they already compensate lag, which they clearly don’t

#6 Premoves don't take 10 seconds

there's legit that small bar thing near your name when you go to the 'Play' section which shows how strong/weak your connection is, there's no need to go test it every time

#13 Oh, I thought that was only when you were already in game

It not possible to fix your lag. The site does not control your device, your network, or pretty much any of the connections between you and the site servers, any of which can introduce lag.

The only things the site controls is how to handle lag, how robust the reconnect code is, and the server side. The vast majority of members don't have excessive lag and the site's lag compensation algorithm works well.

There are some things you can do to minimize issues, but if your connection/path is extremely laggy, you may need to play longer time controls or play with enough increment to offset it
