Good Music for Playing Chess

Okay those are chess songs. I personally like to listen to 70s music, especially Earth, Wind, and Fire.
"Do you remember?"

I listen to everything (rap, rock, heavy, classic you name it.)
sometimes Eminem, Bon Jovi, Avril Lavigne, Cascada to name a few.
eminem- " never enough" I can hear it 100 times.
I only knew decode from paramore but I just found some on youtube from paramore I could use.

Eminem...uggh. He may be from Michigan, but he is still white trash in my eyes as a former Michigander. It probably does not help that I hate rap.

cannot really argue taste.

Probably not. lol.

Classical. Anything from the Classical Period through Late Romantic, or even the more tonal 20th Century stuff. Occasionally late '60s to early '70s rock (nothing post 1975).

Smack My B!tch Up - The Prodigy (Good for any competition)
Killer Queen - Queen
Black or White - Michael Jackson
Ebony and Ivory - Stevie Wonder & Paul McCartney

These threads pop up with some degree of regularity - I vote we just make a 'what song are you listening to right now?' thread and stop pretending they really have anythin to do with chess....
Can - Future Days

I guess you'd better be listening any music you don't like. Women may have a different take on this, but I sure can't play chess while actually paying attention to music.

I listen to alternative rock, such as Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace, as well as nu metal groups like Linkin Park, Papa Roach and Disturbed while playing chess.
And as much as I never was a fan of pop in general, Adam Lambert has surprised me, and a couple of his songs are great for playing chess with.
I listen to a wide variety of favorite songs. As long as you listen to a song that you like it should be good. I was looking at my songs list on my ipod once and low and behold there was a song that I did not buy (let alone search) on the itunes store. After about ten seconds of it it became one of my favorite songs. Its called this road by soletta. I will listen to almost any genra of music (except for most rap, ughh) while I play chess.
