I am glad you are here padman cause I have question for ya and this been annoing me one player here on the chess.com said "luckily for Anand" now I don't believe chess is luck. We could say the same thing for Topalov that he got lucky in the first game. Really the player who win is because he handle time pressure or even managed the time well etc. etc.
Great comeback for Anand
Was anyone surprise to see Anand open with d4 rather than his favourite e4 ? I suppoose the Topalov's camp would have been well prepare for the e4 ?
Both players won with white...and now the ball is in Topalov's court. Not sure when last a world championship match started out so aggressively. Looks like both players are playing to win rather than "not to loose"...we may have to thank Topalov for this, with his "all in play" in game one...his play was risky...either he would have won/or lost based on his exposed king...fortunately for us fans, Topalov won game one...and thus forced the champ to also play to win, just to make-up lost ground. Interestingly, the news coming out of Sofia, is that Topalov has indicated that he will not offer any draws, and not accept any as well...not sure if this info is accurate...maybe we can get some clarification on this, in the days to come. My money is still behind Anand.
Here is the 2nd game of the match between Anand and Topalov
