What is the greatest come from behind victory any of you know of, preferably of a GM or some sort of master.

Would 'Chucky' qualify in this caterory of his comeback after his short departure.

im not sure of what the best comeback in a GM game would be, but it probably would b from being down a rook (anything more and the opponent would resign) and then somehow finding a miraculous checkmate.

Probably NM tonydal finds howlzamimaru comment funny.

It must've been the combination of Presumption and Precision.

I'm assuming that the original poster is talking about a come from behind victory in a match or tournament.  In their world title match in 1886, after 5 games, Steinitz was down +1 -4 against Zukertort, but rallied to win the match +10 =5 -5.

Euwe came from behind to beat Alekhine in their title match in 1935.  After 9 games, Alekhine was up +5 =2 -2, but Euwe came back to win +9 =13 -8.  Another famous example was Emanuel Lasker coming from behind to beat Capablanca, and win St. Petersburg 1914.

It was a great comeback. Also notable for the occasion of Capa losing 3 games in a row (Lasker, Tarrasch, and that famous game to Rubinstein). Two famous games at least then: The Exchange Ruy to Lasker and the QG to Rubinstein.

I hope my memory is good here.
