By the time he's thirty Nieman may be over 2900! I'm sorry, I forgot,. The powers that be banned him from competing in OTB tournaments because they were too stupid to put some kind of security in place to prevent a teenager from cheating OTB. Never mind the fact that countless other titled players have done the same thing online and Carlsen has no objection playing against them (unless he gets embarassed playing Black), because after all, we must make an example of someone, especially if the best player tells everyone he lost that game, not by bad play, but by some nefarious means of cheating that no one can figure out. As long as we suspect something and Carlsen boycotts any tournament Nieman might play in, that's not banning him. We can all be real proud because we prevented a teenager from continuing to compete who isn't very likable and hasn't sufficiently matured to be a threat to anyone else.
