Hard to find Good Players When You Are Above 1800

Hi chaps i am having difficulty finding a good game above 2000, in real life i played a couple of rated players at otb tourneys but having difficult getting paired up with some people here. I search for games of 2000+ for 20 min and i dont get anything. I am 1850 and cant find a good game. I sometimes get 1900 but thats it. If anyone above 2000 is interested or would like to play me, pls message me it would be appreciated!

maybe the play only 2000+ players as well, maybe you should get yourself to 2000  first

The thing is that the default setting when creating a challenge is to challenge players from -50 to +200 compared to your own rating. So when the +2000 players create challenges, most often you won't see their challenges.

Also, just like yourself, most people wants to play higher rated opponents. That goes for +2000 players as well; they want to play +2100 players.

Furthermore, just like you say, it's very hard to get to +2000. That means that +2000 players are reluctant to play lower rated players, since the risk of dropping below 2000 would be too big. If they would play you, they would gain a couple of points maximum but if they lose, they lose a lot of rating points.

So this was not a comforting reply :-) I just think that you will continue to struggle to find opponents of that strength here on chess.com. Perhaps the Chess.com admins can find creative ways to give stronger players incentive to play lower rated players.

I think most of the top rated players are playing 1 or 3 minute games.  And most of them are probably in love with their ratings so they don't want to risk the points they would lose to an 1850 player.

i been going to open tourneys but i cant find players there as well lol.. yes i hope chess.com makes something were u can interact with the top players :)
