I kept losing from 1564 my highest rating I came down to 1415 my current rating. I cried and felt like quitting chess so just wanted to know how many people have lost continuously what to do to come back better I feel I am really getting worse day by day And it really getting to me my goal like almost many people dream of is to become a gm but I feel like if I lose to a 1400 being a 1500 then how will I become a gm.

Your on tilt probably best to stop playing and have a rest of do other things with Chess like puzzles, and play again tomorrow could be a good thing to do

Colonel Charles Paul Narcisse Moreau of France played in the 1903 Monte Carlo International chess tournament... losing all 26 of his games.

The final score: zero wins, zero draws, twenty-six losses.

In 1951, International Master Robert Wade played a 30-board simultaneous exhibition against a group of Russian schoolboys. The oldest of them was 14. Wade lost 20 of the games, drew 10 and won none of them.

I went from 2062 to 1779 in daily chess and it feels bad, not sure how many points I was losing per game but it feels like it happened really fast.

Sorry to hear that @dfgh123

Take 3 days off and you slap when you come back and play again

Alexandria Kosteniuk just finished playing in the Airthings Masters and went 1 win and 14 losses.

yes but she beat eric hansen who had beaten magnus and nepo who finished first and second. the average rating of her opponents was 2720 and she was 2516, so over 200 points less. not surprising. sanjay is playing people his own rating so very bad luck

Under-rated players are super annoying, be it good chess.com newbies, or blitz nutters that suddenly start playing classical time controls, or vice versa... It shouldn't matter, but win 7, lose 35, lose 37, lose 20, does give you the impression you're going backwards. *kicks can.* Some days are diamonds diamond.png, some days are stones resign.png.

You lost many games because you need to improve. Solve puzzles and study Chess Fundamentals by Capablanca.

just remember that if you win a many games in a row your comeuppance will happen soon. your rating will have increased and you will face tougher opponents who will put you in your place

It's happened so many times! For example I was trying hard to cross 2000 in bullet, and did so after a long effort. My rating was around 2040 when suddenly I stopped winning and all my games became disasters, leading to my rating dropping back to 1900. Currently (today!) I've had a nice win streak and have crossed 2000 again happy.png.

I think the problem's mostly not because of our objective chess strength, but mostly just coz we're having a terrible day. I could also be a problem with your gameplay, but in that case, the solutions will be more clear cut.

In case you're having one of those days, I recommend closing chess.com and doing something else to "forget" your bad day and also to freshen up your mind. Don't keep playing after losing 5 games in a row.

Continuously no. Continually yes!

Just do chess puzzles mostly, and maybe chess videos.

I lost 13 in a row once. Pressing for quick wins is the surest way to take more losses. Take a break, regroup, consider your place in the universe, masturbate, sleep and then get back to it.
