Well thinking back to my youth in the Black Forest and to our early days out here on the Canadian Prairie when we were still heating with coal-stoves in the houses. To get the heat flowing we had to start off with wood fires of course so I guss that we were " Woodburners ". Btw some of the older steam-locomotives were also Woodburners, so it all ties together lol.

By the time I started on the railway the old steam-engines were gone. A very interesting film that shows some woodburners is " The Great Locomotive Chase " that was made years ago by the Disney Studios ( featuring Fess Parker, Slim Pickings etc etc ).
Peanuts was somebody else.
I see that any person added lower back the thread that states humans who are rated beneath 900 must not be allowed to play Chess. Yup this would of path be the type of character going round telling kids that Santa Claus does now not exist, just awful.

Wow! So in about 60 years (give or take) the game of chess would be dead. Everyone, GMs included, were 900 to lower at some point when just learning the game. So, if no one under 900 can play, there's no "new blood" entering the game. When everyone above 900 has died off, the game is effectively dead.
I guess at that point, nobody will care about ratings and the game will slowly re-emerge.
And I don't push wood, plastic or ceramic - I push a mouse . . .
