I'll try...The pawn, knight, rook, Q, K, symbols show what level you're working on.  There's a core curriculum of about 100 lessons, and yes, the beginning stuff is kind of lame but you should probably run through it all for the review and in case you missed something basic in your chess education.  When you get to the Queen level, some of the lessons get quite challenging.  King level is mastery and there are hundreds of courses to choose from (OK, maybe only dozens...).  I recommend the tactics section and especially the courses by GM Wolff.  The courses are listed with newest first; I like to go to the last page and work forward.

Oh, and the videos in the newer courses?  They're pretty well done, short and to the point, but I skip most of them and just go the challenges anyway.  Hope that helped...

One other thing: when you log onto the lessons, a screen comes up telling you that your next lesson is waiting for you.  You can ignore that if you wish and try another course if you want.  Have fun!

Pretty sure that as a diamond member you can do whatever lessons you want.  If you decide you're in over your head, you can always go back.  You also have the option of deleting all your progress and starting over;  I've done that several times.  I can go from pawn to king, which is about a hundred lessons now in less than a week.  Don't be afraid to redo really hard lessons until you're sure you understand them.  I recommended GM Wolff's tactics, but they may be too much for you at the moment; they are very challenging.
