help me decide chess hobby options

Hi. This is my first post and apologies if this is the wrong place. I am just after a little advice please :)

I used to own a DGT e-board and regret letting it go, and I am about to purchase again but have limited funds and not sure the best option to go.

1. Buy the DGT board along with a basic laptop and chessbase database software. I can add engines and upgrade to mega etc in the future.

2. Sell my iPad Pro and buy the above along with a much more powerful laptop and the mega database, and a separate engine etc. Basically everything I need.

3. Keep my iPad Pro and instead of the chessbase software, buy the DGT board along with the DGT Pi, and use the iPad for game storage and analysis and buy a laptop and chessbase software in the future.

I am a hobby player and mainly play games against engines, along with the odd online game and my partner/friends play the very occasional game with me.

I like my IPad for other uses so in two minds to sell and that is why I have the extra option. I know only I can make the decision but I am so undecided.

Advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for the response. Yes I know I have to move the pieces and that’s fine. Like I said I used to own a DGT board and regret selling it years ago, so no matter which of the 3 options I choose, I really want the DGT board. That’s why all 3 options include the DGT board. I understand what you are saying, however. Thanks
