Common sense dictates that if you have a new PC you should copy all important material from de old PC to the new one.
Databases and programs are easy to copy or move from one PC to another.----if you know how....
...and then you should have no problems, unless the database (or another data) is corrupted,
I can't open a Database (created with ChessBase10 on my old pc) on my new PC, although i use exactly the same program (Chessbase10). The error that i get is "Cannot access database: "database path\databasename.cbh". Strangly the databasename appears in ????? (question marks oppose to it's name) , seems like ChessBase is unable to read it (it's with cyrillic lettters). Another, i guess, related problem is that when i try to write a notation with cyrillic letters it's given again in ?????( question mark for every cyrillic letter i have writen). I haven't had such expirience with the ChessBase on my old pc, nor the cyrillic letters problem. Changing fonts does not solve it.
