Apparently there were other top player(s) who thought Naroditsky was cheating.

for most of us it's just a game. even for most titled players. How many players can pay their rent with chess? how many players make money at Titled Tuesday? Not all titled players. not even all GMs.

Naroditsky did.

He was also ejected from Titled Tuesday last year. his apologists say it was a "mistake." none of us were there.

is chess just a game to these guys?

These top players are making their living at chess.

when rent and groceries and taxes are dependent on it, I suspect a situational ethics comes into play.

Maybe "cheating" becomes a fluid concept.

it starts with running stockfish on a side machine "for analysis.". then it becomes playing stream viewers unrated to boost viewership. then it becomes running the engine to boost the fan base. the definition of "cheating" narrows to over the board. All the rest? it's not a game; it's a job.

it's making a living, and a point is reached where anything goes.

It is amazing how many people who are absolute sh#t not only in chess but also in morality love to spit on the grave of most lovely being in history of chess. I would love to womit to face of all those hyenas.

yet the same people who are offended want kramnick in the grave.

I think naroditsky actually cheated.

Just want to say for clarity that Danya was one of my favorite streamers and I was heartbroken by his passing.

(another fave was bancsoo, and has he dropped off the planet too???)

anyway, yeah really enjoyed Danya, but I didn't know him personally, and I don't have my head in the sand either.

More than one person thinking someone is cheating doesn't make the allegations valid.
It's entirely possible that more than one top player can be hoodwinked by poor arguments.

You can discuss cheating related issues in the cheating forum club but not here.
