Is there a way to mute [Deleted by Moderator: AbuseReport] so the [Deleted by Moderator: AbuseReport] posts don’t show up on any forum?

The site can mute people for violating site rules and it does happen sometimes.  Individual members can't mute other members, although if you block them they can't post in threads that you create.  If you think someone deserves to be muted or banned, you can report them and chess.com will take appropriate action.

@RonJC volunteer to fight in Vietnam War, you ever watch Platoon?! RJC is remarkably stable, considering what he been through. Highland fling for you dude.

I don’t care, I just want to know if there’s a way to mute people like this.

No, there isn't. Best you can do is block a member to prevent them from posting in content you create.

Thank you.  Finally someone answered the question

I was about to ask this question too

This feature has been requested ... years ago.  Back in the days of V2.  I doubt this gets any interest from the likes of the Dev Team.  They're too busy wrecking the UI for the sake of futureware.

I have asked the question to two support people.  The answer, no you can't hide any troll's posts.  All you can do is prevent them from sending you a private message and posting in threads you create.  Utterly useless.

Being able to "hide" certain people's forum posts is a common sense thing, and a feature every website I'm a member of has.

I don't want to wade through countless posts by trolls who insert themselves into every single post on the forum, posting dozens of times each and every day. I don't want to read the posts of people who insult others, belittle others because of their rating, etc.  I want to have intelligent conversations with friendly people about CHESS.

But if chess.com wants to keep their forum friendly toward trolls and a nuisance to everyone else, then too bad for the rest of us. I spend very little time here now.

That is a needlessly complicated and time-consuming way to get relief from trolls and other jerks. Chess.com does NOT ban people who are simply jerks. All I want is to NOT have to wade through irritating posts by irritating people just to get to some conversation about chess.

Your best option is a private club without trolls.

How exactly do other websites solve this issue?  Obviously giving every member the power to mute every other member is unrealistic,

You can do it on twitter for example
