how did you break the plateau of your chess rating?

Hi everyone, I feel like I’ve hit a plateau in my chess improvement lately. Despite playing regularly and watching a few videos, my rating seems stuck. I’m sure many of you have faced this at some point. So I wanted to ask: What specifically helped you break past your rating plateau? Was it: Focusing on tactics? Studying specific openings? Playing longer time controls? Getting a coach or analyzing your games deeply? Would love to hear what made the biggest difference for you — whether you were stuck at 800, 1200, or even higher. Your experience might help me (and others) push through. Thanks in advance! – Saurabh

Get better....but you are going to have to accept you will hit your wall and never get better then get worse.

I'm breaking my plateu, is by not playing chess for a couple of days. Usually, it works for me.
