Nelson moves his queen out early. Try ro take advantage of this

If you enjoy playing bots that's great of course, but in terms of improving I think it's the last thing you should do as a beginner.

Bots make a lot of weird moves, and learning from them can teach you bad habbits.

He’ll often try to scholar’s mate you, so defend your pawn in the center with a knight, then attack his queen with a pawn or something. Even if you don’t capture his queen, you’ll be more developed and can probably handle him, because he’s severely underdeveloped.

I tried to hold off taking the queen. Eventually I traded it. Look for forks and pins and advance your pieces.

The first time I did this, which was a while ago, I aimed for a closed position and kept pushing his queen back.  Eventually it ended up trapped.

I think a more dependable way to beat him is to defend halfway decently, though.  Eventually he'll make an unsound sacrifice and then follow it up with more until he's completely lost.
