You can't block actual or self chosen location.

I’m not sure why to blame the Indians. You made some poor choices in the opening (f4?). And then you went “Queenhunting” instead of developing.

You saw ONE game.

Take a trip to India and report back to me how often they practice chess.

Yes Indians tend to be better than their rating. Use it as a practice tool. Instead of getting upset that you are playing a good player, learn from the game.

Any idea why that might be?

Is there some kind of inherent bias in the rating system for some countries? I'd find that hard to believe.

This is actually true, especially for OTB tournaments. The player pool is very strong despite being lower Elo.

I have a difficult time believing that Indian players are better for their rating. I have played against 116 Indian players in rapid, and have a 49% win rate. I don't find them any harder, and I think the hate against them is pretty baseless.

As I understand it apparently its due to time zones. Indians overwhelming tend to play other Indians and it supposedly creates a sort of bubble where the competition is higher than the world on a whole.

To clarify..... I'm not hating. Its a compliment if anything. I have no problem playing against Indians.
