How do I crush the Bishop Opening as black?

Try to keep the f7 (or f2 if your white and it’s being done to you) square protected by at least one piece. Also, after castling protect the h7 (or h2 if your white and it’s being done to you) square by at least one piece instead. This is because using a queen, white (or even black if they’re doing it) can checkmate if they’re protected on those squares. Then again, I’m just a 300 rapid player, however you are too! ++ You cannot crush it, but 1 e4 e5 2 Bc4 Nf6 is most challenging for white.

You do not win or lose because of the opening, but because of tactical mistakes.
