how do you disable chat in a game

how do you disable chat whilst playing a game as i’ve noticed you can do it but i’m unsure how you do it when i’ve tried. any ideas how to disable it? i’ve had some creeps message me and wanted to disable it so it doesn’t happen again

I sometimes like to get to know my opponent, so I’m glad chat is there.

Thanks, I wondered how to do that. They give you a lot of leeway in about 5 different categories to modify it & you can leave it on for friends.

Click on the chat icon with the X. From there, there is an option to disable chat.
