A friend lured me into daily games. I always play live but I enjoyed the pace. Now I wonder how to play them.
So my question: how do you play them? What do you use? The opening tool from chess.com? Databases (and which one)? YouTube? Books? And how frequent? Every move? Only in doubt?
In the two games I player I didn't use anything but the analysis board but I can imagine that using sources will improve my game.
Daily games are great! I have a bunch of local real life friends who play on here and often rapid games during the day are difficult for them as they are working. Daily games are perfect for this kind of thing + you can really analyse your moves and what not. Generally speaking I play rapid. I like 60 minute games but we usually finish way before that. At first I played 30 minutes but kept running out of time. But now I’m playing longer games I’m not so focused on the clock and generally finish 60 min rapid in under 30 easy.
Yeah I do play them as if it were rapid. No books, no databases, I’ll sometimes watch YouTube’s and I have a paid account (The lowest one) so I can analyse game and do puzzles at my leisure.
