How does the 7-Day timer work?

I'm playing a 7-day game with another Chess.com player, but I don't understand what the 7-day indicator means. Sometimes it indicates 7, sometimes 6; we've been playing for at least a week. I originally chose Daily Chess.

Could anyone please explain?

ive never played that.

For daily games, the timer resets each time you move. It's time per move, not per game.

That is how timer works for daily chess only.

For live games (for instance 15|10), it is your time for the entire game. In the showed example you have 15 minutes + 10 seconds increment per move to finish the game.
