How good can 25-year-old become in chess? Well in my opinion, assuming he/she starts training in an early age, he will be good. But assuming he started late, well it would be a fat chance

I started playing at age 25 (I learned when I was 3) it’s been a year and a half since then (I’m 27 now) and I’ve hit 1700s blitz bullet and 1800s rapid. I have done maybe only 1-2 hours of studying and I have took my practice very very half ass. How ever Between this acc and my other acc i have played about 7000 games tho. I personally feel if I take it serious I could hit 2200+ within 2-5 years. Don’t worry about your age you only limit your self with these type of though processes. Set goals and go for them, do not accept failure and you will achieve them. I personally feel achieving a low rated master title is very do able for the majority of people. Most people aren’t willing to put in the years of consistent hard work

2-5 years???? thats insane im getting to 2000 in a week or 2

i believe people can get to 2100 in a year with hard work, you would have to be real dumb to not be able to do that

About a year. But I used to play OTB, thirty-five years ago.

mrOpenRuy

i think playing otb is easier, i play much stronger otb then online

mrOpenRuy

many people online have the ¨play dumb to confuse your opponent¨ type of play

you dont see that at all face to face
