There is no theoretical upper limit to the ratings. In practice, the higher your rating gets, the harder it is to find opponent's with a high rating. So even if you have no problem beating everybody every game, your rating will not continue to soar.
if you're the top highest rated player in the world and play against other grandmasters and never lose and every game gets you at least one point. when does it stop? could'nt that player reach 100,000?
and as far as the lowest rating. how can it ever be zero? say, a player plays 1000 games and loses 1000 games. shouldn't that players rating at least be 1. give them credit for at least playing the game of chess.
I was just wondering is there a limit to how high a rating can get.
