I just played this grueling game of 68 moves that ended pretty interestingly. I thought for sure I was toast but somehow the game drawed with insufficient material? Black to move:


He was 1 move away from checkmate so why did the game end in a draw?

It's a draw because you don't have enough material to win but your opponent ran out of time to mate you. Happens all the time in blitz.

Oh! Hahaha! 1 obvious move away... the difference lies in fractions of a second. Thank god for latency :D.
