How is this only a great move but not a brilliant move?

Maybe because all brilliant moves are the sacrifices which not easily visible it is very close to brilliant

It's the only move in the position that is winning. All other moves are bad. That fits the definition of a great move.

I think because one time I got a brilliant move, but I was giving my knight for free, not a discovered check, and thus, if they took it, their rook is gone I'm pretty sure for my game

maybe I'm in the wrong here, but from my understanding of the term this is not a discovered check, but a discovered attack.

and I agree, it does seem to fit the definition of both a great & a brilliant move.
